Generative or algorithmic art is a relatively new format in which the artist-program​mer realizes a vision or idea by defining parameters and commands in a set of computer codes. It uses deep neural networks to replicate, recreate and blend styles of artwork, by teaching the AI to understand existing pieces of art.

AI Generated Art is a form of digital art that's created randomly with computer code with a central characteristic using autonomous machines and algorithms. Rules are created that provide boundaries for the creation process then a computer crunches those codes to produce the desired outcome.
